The "Verso l'Alto" Collection

GENESIS: The model - Pier Giorgio Frassati, a not-so-ordinary Christian

Last year was a special one for Catholics as it was a Jubilee Year—a time when believers are called to renew their commitment to faith and deepen their spiritual lives in order to receive special graces of mercy and forgiveness of sins.

It was also the year when the decision was made to canonize Pier Giorgio Frassati, who inspired the "Verso l'alto" collection featuring Christian crewneck sweaters and hoodies, mugs, notebooks, earbuds, and other accessories.

Pier Giorgio was a young Italian Catholic student from a wealthy family who died at just 24 years old, deeply in love with Christ. Born at the turn of the twentieth century, he witnessed the devastation of World War I and the rise of fascism with Mussolini's ascent to power. Filled with Christ's love from an early age, he saw Christ in every poor person who knocked at his door. He simply couldn't remain indifferent to the poverty of those who came begging for alms at his home.

That's why he spent the last seven years of his short life intensely serving the most destitute through various charitable organizations.

SUMMIT - The Mountains

However, Pier Giorgio Frassati's life was not just about charity. It was also, and above all, about the joy of living, humor (he was quite the prankster), and pushing beyond one's limits. A lover of the alpine mountains of Piedmont where he lived, he enjoyed climbing, skiing, and hiking to admire the beauty of creation whenever he could!

That's how he came to sign the back of a photo taken during a climb with "Verso l'Alto"—meaning "Toward the heights." Pier Giorgio always sought to rise physically, but more importantly, to symbolize a deeper, spiritual ascent.

THE "Verso l'alto" DESIGN

Simple and minimalist, the " Verso l'alto " collection is a tribute to a joyful and heroic model of Christianity. Whether you're a mountain lover or not, it invites you to push beyond yourself, calling you to rise above worldly ideas and the sometimes gloomy atmosphere that can surround us.

"Don't look down, look up!" Frassati tells us. This design featuring the inscription "Verso l'alto" and mountain illustration is available on numerous items, creating beautiful Christian sweaters, mugs, notebooks, and more in a refined and elegant style, reflecting the image of the saint it honors.
